We each have our definition of success. For some it’s an abundant bank account, for others name and fame, and for the spiritually conscious, a purposeful life. Not that abundance and recognition have to be excluded in the latter case; they simply may not be the primary aim but the means to a more wholesome and fulfilling life.
Although I was introverted and somewhat shy as a kid, I dreamed BIG—and I still do. As a matter of fact, I believed that my life was going to be extraordinary. I didn’t know how and I probably didn’t quite understand what that meant, but I sensed that my life was supposed to be special and unique.
In spite of all my hurdles and disappointments, and the many times I thought that the Universe was not willing to smile at me, I never gave up on that belief. It came from a powerful place within me that kept me going and searching for that special life I anticipated as a child.
Now I know that what has made my life really extraordinary is the inner journey I began undertaking over 28 years ago, for without it I would not be able to live life as the miraculous adventure it truly is. The many obstacles I’ve found along the way turned my wounds into precious pearls of spiritual experience.
I’ve written before that I believe absolutely everyone needs 3 things in life to make it meaningful and fulfilling. These are: experience, growth, and contribution. (see Do You Know What Makes You Happy?). Now, the key to succeed in any and all of them is: NEVER SETTLING FOR LESS than what you want.
Whether it’s love, health, wealth, recognition, business growth, serving others, transforming the world, or reaching enlightenment, you have to dream BIG and hold on to that dream without giving up until you reach it. No matter how long it takes or how convoluted your path may be.
Why? Because the minute you settle for less you disconnect from your dreams, and if you disconnect from your dreams on a regular basis, you disconnect from yourself. If you ask me, this is why we see so much cancer in the world today: it’s a confusing and chaotic world of broken dreams; a world of dis-empowering self-images and standardized “shoulds” and obligations.
Mastery is not about the righteous nobility of self-sacrifice that our Judeo-Christian culture has ingrained in us. It is about the self-discipline, clear intention, and focused attention that achieving anything requires on the physical plane. Because where your attention goes, your creative and vibrational energy follows, shaping and coloring your reality and your actions.
If you have a goal and let you mind get in the way with fears, doubts, past impressions, or unresolved emotions, well, your results are going to show that mixture of energy instead of the clear, direct an unequivocal success you desire—which may be as simple as taking one step forward after being paralyzed (physically, mentally, or emotionally), or as expansive as feeling true joy in your life.
So how about committing today to never settling for less than what you really want in your relationships, career, business, creative endeavors, or spiritual pursuits, and making the decision to channel as much energy as possible toward your dreams? All it takes is replacing old defeating beliefs with a brand new one: believing in YOU and your divine creative power.
I for one, most certainly believe in you and your immense untapped potential! Contact me today to get the soul guided support you need to manage your vibrational energy, create new emotional patterns, and feel connected to yourself and your life with clarity and purpose.
